The Vital Guide is the brainchild of two guys who share a passion for living an optimized life; one that encompasses the very best level of nutrition, physical & mental performance, personal growth, and community leadership.
While up at the Omega Institute coaching groups at Joe Cross’s Camp Reboot, we both couldn’t help noticing how few men were being represented. After a few green juices and pretty standard male bonding, we got inspired to change that and create something that would bring more men into this important dialogue about health and wellness.
Six months later, the dream was born.
The Vital Guide is an invitation for every man to step up and experience the exhilaration of supreme vitality. We’re talking about boundless energy. The super coach.
When I was 17 years old, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. We were unsatisfied with the guidance we were receiving from her doctors and decided to take her health into our own hands. We changed her diet, managed her lifestyle and stress; without chemo and radiation, slowed, stopped, and eventually reversed her cancer to the amazement of her oncologists.
Years later, I was unhappy in my job and life and began to make changes to my diet. I saw immediate results and became incredibly interested in my personal health. When I found the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, a school geared to coaching people to better health, I was immediately interested and enrolled.
Armed with my health coach certification, I was able to leave my grueling, unsatisfying career as a corporate event planner and launched a thriving health coaching practice. Since 2010, I’ve been practicing and have had the pleasure of helping countless numbers of people achieve a higher level of wellbeing.
Man on a mission.
I learned about my family’s history with a form of muscular dystrophy in the mid 2000’s. At that point I realized that if this was something that was potentially going to happen to me I needed to give myself the best chance of staying healthy for as long as possible.
After learning about the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and their health coaching program I knew this was the way forward for me. I was inspired to take control of my own health and experimented with many diet plans and cleanses that are popular in today's world.
Through these experiences, I gained valuable insight on how what we eat and other simple daily factors can have a significant impact on our health. Since 2009 I’ve been working with one of the nation’s top health and wellness coaches. With the experience I’ve gained via this partnership plus my own practice, I’ve been successfully guiding people toward achieving their goals. I am grateful for my life experiences and the ability to share this knowledge to help others achieve improved health.
